Quest?

Have any of you all used this on your dairy goats? Can you give it to kids? I have heard the goat dosage is 4x a horse dosage, is this right?

I have Ivermectin Plus, but don't want to give it to my milking does, and need something for them. Was wondering if I could just buy a tube of this for my two does.

Thanks all

Quest is 1cc per 100 lbs. and it needs mixed up well. There has been a problem of the wormer part not mixed consistantly. Then put it in a syringe to dose orally of course. I use 5 milkings for withdrawal myself. If you need to do preventive worming for Liverfluke, Valbazen is good since it has a short withdrawal.

If you want to put it back in the plunger after you mix it, it's 2x the horse dose. I haven't used it in a while (haven't needed to) but I believe the quest plunger is marked off in 25lb increments. A 125lb goat would get the 250lb horse dose.

So let me get this straight. I squirt it all out and mix really really good. Then I suck it back in? Do, I not get air bubbles that way? Would this work on two-three month old kids, I heard not to use the ivermectin plus on young kids, or the milking does.

Thanks again

Actually it doesn't suck back up very well, it's thick. I put each dose into the back of a syringe using a flat tipped screw driver for a spoon. Then replace the plunger. The small syringe is easier to handle with one hand while fighting with the goats too.

I mix mine well & put it in a syringe to store it. I've used it on a 10 week old kid with no issue.

Do NOT overdose this one! I lost one of 4, the others had BAD headaches, dosing confusion.
