If you have a very nice vet who will just write the script, you can order it from Valley Vet online for $18 or so.
If you don't have a vet do sell it, prescribe it or so forth - you can buy the selenium E gel on Jeffers online - not nearly as good, but it does work

I disagree that the gel isn't as good. There's no research that supports that. I use it exclusively, in a selenium deficient area, on all my kids/lambs at birth and have never had WMD. Most brands of goat feed and certainly all loose minerals have selenium in them, so if you are feeding minerals, it's likely your animals don't need RX BoSE, and if they do, the amount in the gel is equivalent to an RX dosage.

I don't need any research - my own experience is worth far more to me. I've seen kids that could not walk be given the gel by "holistic" friends - and then need to call me for BO-SE a day later because it didn't help - then the kids are up running around in 2 hours. . .I've never dealt with WMD - But when using the gel because getting the BO-SE a few years back, the coat was still a bit rough, kids weren't as lively and the does didn't grow as well as they do with the BO-SE. My guess is it is enough to stave off WMD in the gel, but it likely isn't enough - always, at least, to give the extra boost Bo-Se does.

Again, not true - I feed Right Now Onyx and a feed with selenium and my girls still need BO-SE 2 times a year.

The gel is not holistic, 5 ml is the same dosage of selenium and E as RX 3ml BoSE. Since many people (and vets) give the BoSE orally, it doesn't seem to matter how its given. And without scientific analysis (blood draw to see level), your "experience" isn't proof. If we go on "experience", I've raised goats and sheep (and horses, cattle, and hogs) for over two decades, in a selenium deficient area, never used RX BoSE, and have never had a case of WMD or any other symptoms of low selenium, like decreased fertility. In fact, since boostering my suffolk ewes with the gel before breeding, I've had my first ever suffolk triplets - three sets this year - which is quite rare in large black faced sheep breeds. Your mileage may vary of course, but the OP can draw from the experiences of many and make an informed choice. The goat feed I use has a certain PPM selenium base, as do the minerals - not sure why you believe your goats need BoSE twice a year, are you doing blood draws and checking their level or something? It's very easy to OD on selenium, especially with the RX, but much less so if you are using minerals, good feed, and the gel. Your rough coat and decreased activity could also be (and is more likely) a copper deficiency. Even bolusing isn't foolproof.

We buy it from the Vet. Really, you should try and find a vet to work with anyways, one that you can get prescriptions from and call for emergency and do herd health checks.

I've never heard of Bo-Se given orally.....none of the goat folks I've met or my vet give orally....Everyone I know gives it via SQ injection.
To the OP you will need a vet RX for it. My vet wrote me an RX & I had it filled at a local Vet Supply, but like mentioned before, you can also get it filled online. As long as you do your research, go to your vet with solid info on why you need it (not just "someone online said so") & explain you understand dosing & risk of overdoing, I doubt your vet would have a problem writing you a prescription.
