New Jr. Herdsire!

I am so excited I just had to share! I won't delve into details as I am not sure how much the breeder would want shared but in two weeks I will be going up to Fir Meadow to pick out a new Jr. Herdsire. I am so excited as I get to choose from a couple different lovely boys and I have looked at video of some of them and I am just drooling.

Here is a video of one of the boys.

Here are 4 more boys. (I am in love with the Black and Tan in this one)

And yet 2 more boys (brothers)

Hopefully all will still be there when I go to pick out my new fellow. I can't decide by just looking at them on video and I want to see their dams but I am just drooling already. I will let y'all know who I end up with (it will be so hard to choose!). I will say it was unexpected and a nice surprise to be able to pick from these boys as I was going to wait until next year as I didn't have the money this year, but I am able to so a BIG thank you to Kat because she is giving me this chance to do so.

How fun! I have looked at Fir Meadow many times for goats, they have beautiful animals. How will you ever decide?!! No matter who you pick, you will definitely be getting a nice boy to add to your herd, congratulations!

I like the black & tan one too. Maybe one will want your attention more than the others or something will just say "Pick me" & you'll know. All pretty boys though.

Kat is the sweetest person, and my favorite to chat with at shows. My boy is one of theirs - they have the healthiest goats I've ever seen!

I already have one buck from her (he just turned a year old a few months ago). Some of his first kids are on the ground and whoooweee! they are nice looking! I had such a fabulous time last year when I was able to go up and pick up my first buck from her so I am excited to be able to go again this year and talk with her again.

I have been looking at the dams and their dams/sires and looking at the kids...I just can't decide! I want to be able to put my hands on them and also see what their temperament is like (for me that is just as important as great conformation and genetics). I tell you though...that black and tan boy just keeps catching my eye in that video. I have to be careful though because my boy I have now is a Valiant kid so I want to make sure I am not bringing anything in that is to closely related as I want to use my new fellow on my current boy's kids and visa versa.

Those are nice bucklings. I met Kat at Convention last fall. She's a wonderful person.
