Question Coughing Doeling

One of my LaMacha doelings has had a persistent cough since the beginning of spring. Ocassionally she will also have a runny nose, but the mucous is clear and it never persists. She has a normal temp, normal bowel movements, appetite is good and her demeanor is normal (she is the most mellow goat I have ever met). Could she have allergies just like I would? Is there anything I can do for her? In addition, the queen of my herd has watery eyes on and off too since the spring started as well. Do goats have allergies?

My old vet said rumenants don't get allergies but I did not agree with him. Years ago I took a goat in to see him about a week after we bought her becuase she had a runny nose.
She had no fever, he checked her lungs & said they sounded good but he had me give her antibiotics for a week just in case, I beleive he thought she had shipping fever they called it since we had just got her.

Well I gave the antibiotics, etc. She is now 8 years old & still has a runny nose off & on. I kept telling him if she had phneumonia she'd be dead by now. I give the liquid Dimetapp to my girl & it seems to help.

So I can't really say for sure they do have allergies but my 1 doe seems to have them.
