Drying up a FF Doe only 4 months fresh

I have 4 does in milk, but one of these does was bred on accident, and her condition is subpar - she really needs more time to grow on her - she is just now
15 months old, and she never grew as well as the doelings I bred her - she was purchased from a show herd.

Would it be better to just dry her up now - let her recoup from kidding and being in milk and try again in the fall?

I know in the past, some does just will not stop producing - but she isn't a heavy producer, at all.

If I'm going to dry her off - what is the best approach to assure the udder isn't stretched out and ruined (which I've had happen) and avoid mastits. . . ?

How long does it typically take to try a doe off fully?

Yeah if she's not producing much & needs recoup time. What I do is milk part way for a few days, go to one milking a few days part way then every other day just a little....this works on the Boers but someone with dairy goats might do it differently.
