What do you use for dry teats?

My doe has really dry teats from nursing and being milked. What do you use and how do you apply it? I don't want my doeling to stop nursing because of a bad taste.
Thanks!

I use organic, virgin coconut oil. It's what I use for my hairless dogs skin

I clean her well, and rub about a tablespoon of oil on. Massage for as long as your willing & once you've got as much rubbed in as possible, wipe off the excess & I also use a bit of my udder wash to make sure she's not greasy.

Without fail my girls let down more milk, so I empty that out & spray teats with Fight Bac (or use your teat dip)

I was told not to use petroleum based products on the udder as it creates a barrier that bacteria can grow under so I steer clear of Bag Balm or anything petroleum based.

Nothing. I milk her out in the evening because she has only one baby and gets lopsided. I have ordered dip/wash and bottle. I am giving the milk to my 3 month old bottle buckling right now so I haven't used a dip, but I read that I should even if humans don't drink the milk to keep my doe from getting an infection. It should be here tomorrow.

Yes, the post milking dip is especially important to protect the doe's udder health.

I use chlorhexadine spray on chapped teats/udders.
And I've never had even the worst tasting salve deter kids or calves from sucking......

Dynamint is what I have and I love it. Smells like mint and has some good natural stuff to keep them nice and supple. But I don't use it if I am share milking.
