gotta love chaos
I am in Memphis visiting/sitting with my grandson for a few days. I got a ticket on the way here, as my speedometer doesn't work. My car broke down in my son's driveway. It's now in the shop for an undetermined amount of time.

The wonderful friend/goat lady who is feeding my goats and bottle kids had TWO flat tires on the way to my house to feed them.

Sounds like a normal day for us. The other day the motor was out on the seeder. (we replaced it brand new last year.), the tandem blew a tire as we were moving it from field to field, then DH hit a deer with the truck on his way home. I think it's just life when it comes to living on a farm. Something is bound to not go according to planned.

I was close to tears, but I knew I had no excuse at all. I had gotten lost in northern Arkansas because the bridge I normally use is out. I'd figured out where I was, straightened out, and was trying to make up time. Silly behavior when the speedometer is kerplooey.

I told the officer that I didn't mind supporting what he does and thanked him for being nice. He thanked me back! Then, he confirmed for me how to get to Memphis from where I was.
