Having a one day milking contest...

I am going to do this at the end of June. I want to see how many of my girls can earn stars & what their butterfat, etc. is.

It is set up with the tester, approved by the ADGA & a couple of friends are bringing some of their girls over, too.

Have any of you ever done this? What advice/ comments do you have?

I finally have some blood lines that I will also be milk testing. We also have milk testing at our local fair. I think it is an awesome idea and it looks better on paperwork!
I have been told to make sure you are milking at the times you will be testing at several weeks ahead so the goats are at optimal performance... good hay, dairy rations, etc.

I'm interested in how this goes so do update on the whole process please!

I wanted to look into what all I would have to do because I'd love to have my girl's on it...maybe next year or the following year (when I'll have my Lamancha does).
