I think she's going to keep you guessing to the very end! I like all her colors! Can’t wait to see the pictures of all the doelings...if they ever get here.

I have absolutely no idea - but I do have a question! I've never had a pregnant goat so I just love posts like this - is it common for the does hair to thin along her spine? I was just curious since I've not experienced this myself. I know our dog will blow coat sometimes especially after whelping.
I can say she looks VERY pregnant! LOL!

It's so frustrating I know!! The only thing you can do is be ready and keep checking. My guess would be July 4th with 3 star spangled doelings

NorCalChicks-
Good question, but she actually doesn't have thin hair on her spine. I shaved her because it was so hot last week & she was miserable. Now, when it's chilly, she fluffs her hair up on end to stay warmer. Since I was straight overhead of her, you could see right to her skin.
Gaby Rose-
I think her spots are funny because you can only see them when her hair is really short, and especially when it's standing on end like it was in the pictures.

Ok, a little more info on her. She is a 1 yr. old FF, perhaps mini Alpine. She is due on May 28, bred to a ND buck. She has been doing everything textook for the 1st stage of labor, except to progress to the 2nd stage, for the last three days. She had the tiniest amount of cloudy white mucous on day 145 and today, but that's it. I started giving her CMPK today because I suspected her labor was stalling, and she was off her grain. I don't know that it did much for her labor, but she is back on her grain and feeling a lot more energetic than she was.

Well, in my opinion, you can still type coherently, so you're not crazy enough, yet, for her to have the kids.

When my girls look like these pics and have lost the whitish stuff, I look for babies about 2 weeks after. She is a pretty goat, it will be interesting to see what color her babies are.

Continuous cream colored mucous in small amounts making her tail crusty for the last 36 hours. We are on Day 153 now.

hm hm hm....yep! I bet it's today. How is she acting? (not that that matters with goats lol) Gretta was up down up down and pawing and pressing her head against the wall. Keep us posted and make sure that camera has fresh batteries for the baby pictures

Yep, she's been doing all that stuff for the last 6 days, but with the most intensity on the first of those days.

Hope you have babies soon!!!
My Alpine had the goo, no ligaments, weird behavior off and on for over a week before she kidded. The day she kidded she was running around, playing queen of the moutain & head butting.... I thought she wouldn't go that day, so I ran into town, was back home in 2 hours & in that time she kidded with triplets, had them all clean/dry & the babies had full tummies....
Stealthy, speedy lil brat
I hope your pretty girl kids when your there, has an uneventful labor & two beautiful doelings

k,
I was just about to start a thread about our two doe's who are doing the exact same thing, but I will follow yours as it's so similar..
maybe we can have a race to the doeling line, lol
Our's all got mated on the same day and the other doe had twins 4 days ago...
I could have sworn they all would have them within hours of each other the way they were behaving, now I wonder will they ever??
what is the CMPK you mentioned?
I love the markings on your goat, can't wait to see the baby pics!
hang in there!

CMPK - Calcium, Magnesium, Phosphorus, and Potasium
When her labor stalled, or so I believed, I started giving her 30cc orally of CMPK in case she was low on Calcium, which is necessary for good contractions. It seemed to help - at first.
We have a BAD storm right now, so she's probably out there squeezing out a kid right now - LOL!
