Unhappy More goat drama

So, Im thinking it would be nice to turn every one out this morning, you know they are about to be broken up, its sunny and very nice. So my daughter goes outside and comes running in. Apparently my Saanen has developed a taste for motor oil and was licking the oil pan like it was the best thing ever. Hopefully she didnt get much, it was what was left of the inside of an oil filter but we have the vet calling us back.

vet said she should be fine but to watch her. There is nothing online about ingesting oil with goats mentioned.
Because the lead is pretty much removed he said it wasnt the best thing but for a one time thing she would just get the poops

Thank goodness! Sometimes I wonder how goats ever survived as a species with all the trouble they get into...

Hope your girl is feeling better soon.

My older nubian years ago decided to try motor oil. My dad just changed the oil in his truck at the barn and let it out in a 5 gallon bucket. She walked right over and started drinking it as if it was water! Before I could get to her she had drank a couple good gulps of it. Nothing ever turned of it and she was fine. lol I sometimes wonder about goats!
