I am so proud of myself

and I wanted to brag a little & knew you all would get it. I built a lean to for my bucks all by myself!! Dh said he was too busy, too many things on his list & that was last priority & if I wanted it I'd have to build it so I did.

Turned out really good too I thought. I am excited because he usually buys the wood & builds all their houses etc. I do help when he needs it but this is the first time I ever bought the wood & did something like that on my own!

Awesome! I know what you mean; I'm always excited when I manage to fix something without my dad's help.

I am so proud of myself - Goats

I know it's not the greatest & I'm sure hubby's would have been better but at least they have one now.

This is in their pasture area & any time there was a chance of rain I would make them stay up to their pen at the barn. Now unless there's a storm coming they can still go out there.

I built it this past Thursday & it rained off & on all day & me working just made a mess of the ground so that's why those pallets are on the ground. They aren't attached to anything, I just layed them down there for now.
All I had to do today is put another support inside & the roofing on top.

I would leave them in there! LOVE your design. Goats just inspire rustic structures.

I never had thought of using pallets for the ends/sides. My design juices are running now.

Are you going to paint or put some sealant on the sides to keep the plywood from deteriorating? Sometimes if I have roofing metal left over, I put that on the sides, too.

GOOD JOB.

I am planning on painting the back & sides with exterior Paint Alice but the metal is a good idea too.

There's a guy not too far from us that sells pallets for $1.00, all sizes & some with wood slats close together, etc. I bought these 2 special after I measured them to make sutre they's fit.

We use pallets for lots of things. Actually our stall walls are all made out of pallets. We also use them sometimes for gates, floors under goats out buildings, etc.

I'm impressed, and think you did a great job. Don't you just love pallets? They are so versatile. Thanks for sharing the pics with us.
