wether kid with fever

HI all, I have an eight week old wether that has a fever of 103.7. He has diarrhea not really bad but still has it. He is running and playing, eating and drinking. I am going to treat for Cocci, but am wondering do I treat for a fever as well? I feed fresh water, and all the hay he wants, along with some pasture and minerals/salts. Thanks for your help.

That is within the normal range (101-104°) for goats. Has he been dewormed? What's he eating? Could he have had a bit too much milk/browse/feed, etc.?

HI Kim
Thanks for your response. Thanks for the info on the range to be comfortable with. I thought anything over 102' was fever. Whew. Obviously I am a newbie and learning. To answer your questions yes he had been wormed about 3 weeks ago. He isnt really eating anything new. I gave him some yogurt and treated for cocci. I will keep my eye on him. He seems wonderfully fine except he had diarrhea this morning and of course what I thought was a temp.

My bottle girls got the runs a couple of weeks ago. I found out they squeezed through the cat size door into the chicken coop and ate too much grain.
I kept them on milk and hay. They all got Pepto and I made sure they have baking soda available. The next day two were back to pooping mostly normal and by the 3 rd day all 3 were fine. Now I took away the grain from the chickens until the girls get to big to fit in there
