Where is C & D Antitoxin?

I went to three different feed stores when my buckling was sick, and no one had it. Now I'm trying to find it online, and neither Valley Vet or Jeffers has it either. Anyone know the story??

They're up on those sites, but they're all on backorder.

Oh wait... Valley Vet does have it available in the 250 ml size.

But why is it so hard to find right now? Was there a recall?

I had the same problem trying to get it through Jeffers. They have it at my TSC but it's $38. And there is the same problem with the 40% Di-methox.

Is it just because it is spring, and we all have kids on the ground?

When Jeffer's is out, I simply go to my vet. He sells it to me for $1.50 a dose measured and loaded into syringes. You might call your vets. Unless you have a large amount of kids this works fine. It's certainly a lot better than paying $38 a bottle.

Adults can also get entero and when you need it, you usually need quite a bit and if it's Saturday night and your vet isn't available, your goats are in trouble. Much better to pay $38. worth of insurance so that you have enough on hand.

It was a life saver when 2 of my does' got into some kind of green plant last year that made them really sick. I had got mine from the vet before to have on hand & was so glad I did.

Adults he told me at the time is 20cc SQ & kids are 10cc SQ.
