Opinions on Lump. (Pics)

I just posted about a lump on my Lamancha a couple days ago. But, I'd thought I'd update with some photos so you all can have a look and give me some opinions. All my avenues have pointed towards Goiter from Iodine Deficiency so, I just started treating her with Iodized salt for the last two days and haven't really seen a difference. I also painted her tail web the last couple days with Iodine and she sucked it right up! So anyway, here is a photo of it about a month ago:

And here it is now. It doesn't seem to be loosing any hair and it isn't soft. It's pretty hard actually. I am afraid if I drained it that it will pop all over the place! It doesn't hurt her, she's eating and drinking normally as you can tell. But she is pretty small for her age which makes me believe it's a goiter but... suggestions????

Also, we haven't hardly drank any of her milk. Maybe a cup of it but, I am curious. I have another doe, an Alpine, that has been living with this lamancha for about a month now. Should we stop drinking her milk? Can humans transmit CL through the goat's milk?

This is the first abscess I have ever seen her have. And we've had her since she was a doeling. I've kept a close eye on it and no bursting. She we cull her kid too if this ends up being CL?

That looks an awful lot like CL to me...I'd get the pus tested.

I sure hope not. The lump was there and came back again in the same spot a couple months ago. Not only that, but it never popped, healed over, and came back again. It just gradually went away and now it's back.

Have the vet drain it and test the pus.

CL is my biggest goat fear... I could handle and manage CAE.... but the very thought of CL makes my skin crawl.

Don't wait and see.

Get a vet out to drain it (and ensure its done properly so y'all don't end of tracking the stuff on anything else on your property), & have it tested ASAP. If it's nothing, that's great, but until you have a test to KNOW for sure what that is, I would not be drinking any milk, but that's just me....

Wish you luck, I do hope it isn't CL, and I really can't stress enough how important it us to have that tested ASAP.

Are CL abscesses almost always on the head or neck?

Cl will be typically where the lymph nodes are but can be in other places, internal Cl can be present and never seen, its scary stuff but I would have it tested. One of the herds I co manage had a buckling with a similar lump and it was a staph infection.
Because of internal risk, I would test the kid for antibodies as well if the doe came back positive if it was a valuable animal if not then yes I would recommend culling
