second copper bolus?

I gave my "problem" doe (who I've made several posts about) a copper bolus a few weeks ago. Her skin condition is looking better, but is definitely not 100% gone. She also made HUGE improvement after a vitamin e/selenium supplement was given. But she still has some scabs on her lower legs that will not heal.

When I gave the copper bolus, I guess I did not put it far enough back into her throat and she managed to chew one of the capsules. She still swallowed all of the copper, but it was not all in the capsules when she swallowed it.

Will she still absorb all of the copper if it wasn't all in the capsules when she ate it? Could this be why she still hasn't healed 100%? Would it be worth giving it a second time, or would that be dangerous?

Give her a couple of zinc tablets (human kind) in a peanut butter cracker, too.

Those scabby places can be zinc deficiency, too.

As this is the second bolus you've given her, I'd wait a while. As long as she swallowed the copper, it'll be OK.
