Thumbs up Pill gun/popper, you have got to get one!!

I got my copper capsules last month some time from Cannon Farm (possibly the month before), but kept forgetting to get a pill gun. Finally Friday drove by the Pet-smart again, forgetting, made a u-turn and went back. I bought a pill gun for dogs. $8 and change with tax.

This morning I did both adult goats like it was nothing. I've been dreading this for months. It took 2 minutes each. Then I gave my good goaties treats and they still love me!

So my bolus dreading brothers and sisters, go get one of these pill guns from pet-smart! Stop hemming and hawing! "I don't have the money right now." Well don't drink cokes for a couple of days, or get what ever your personal little fix is, twinkies, donuts, starbucks, frontierville cash . Yes I mean chocolate too!

Get the gun, do your goats, feel proud you've accomplished something you've been putting off for months!

I like the calf bolus gun. Works great and you can more safely shove it down goat throats, lol. We use 00 size capsules. The calf bolus gun (from TSC or Jeffers) works best if you cut off the bolus end, so the shaft and plunger are the same length. Then, stick the capsule in the end, coat end with peanut butter, and shove down goat throats. It's also like 1.79 at the pricy TSC.

If you don't have a pill gun yet, check with your vet. My vet sells them for around $2.50.

I looked at the the calf bolus gun, but I have Nigerian Dwarfs. Using the calf one I could deposit the capsule right into their stomach ! (sorry, I tend to exaggerate.)

Might have to try this.... I've tried the balling guns from TSC & hate them....perhaps the pill gun woods get the job done. I REALLY need to bolus Bleuberry, just haven't yet.....
