Pear branches?

Is pear wood/leaves ok to give to goats? I know that they can't have cherry trimmings, but am wondering about pear. We gave our old pear tree a haircut a bit ago and I'm wondering if the goaties could have a fun snack.

As I understand it, the wilted leaves of trees that bear stone fruits (peach, cherry, plum, etc) are the poisonous ones.

I've heard the same as nehimama. I don't thing pear & apple fall under the same category though. Mine eat pears & apples quite often when I cut them up & give them some. I try to keep them away from all my fruit trees though.

Pear twigs and leaves would be just fine, as are apple twigs and leaves. As others have noted, stone fruit leaves aren't safe, and I would avoid oak leaves as well.

We're trimming back some spruce trees so ours are enjoying that, and where we used to live, we took down a weeping willow - goats go crazy for willow!
