ADGA Registration Question

I am an ADGA member. I have two registered LaMacha Doelings, who I will breed to a registered Buck when they are old enough. However, I have two unregistered Saanen does that I want to breed to a high quality registered buck. Can I register the offspring of this breeding?

Ok I've been looking at this too. I think it will give you a grade goat and only the doelings can be registered. Can your does be registered as NOA or NOP?

The doelings born to your Saanen does and an ADGA registered buck can be Recorded with ADGA. If you breed them to a registered Saanen buck, the doelings will be 50% Saanen. The bucklings are not recordable.

It is my understanding that ADGA no longer offers NOA registration, but still offers NOP registration. Regardless of this, female offspring can be registered if one parent is registered. In your case, you would put the sire's registered name and number on the application, and in the space for the dam, put "unrecorded Saanen-type doe." The reason for putting a breed description of the dam is to assure ADGA that you are not trying to register a meat-breed cross.
