Baby Boer orphan questions

Took on a bottle baby boer just a day old. Was told she had some colostrum from frozen stock and by her first poo I tend to believe it.
Gave her the needed shots and all.

Can I put her with the other three week old (3) bottle babies or should she be confined for safety?

Gave her a bottle of replacement and she took 8oz right away....should have given her 4oz but she took it so fast I was stunned.

Go back to 4oz next feeding?

Maybe a taste of baking soda if I overfed?

This is my first orphan so I'm trying not to miss much.

I am such a sucker for fuzzy face....specially one that no one else was interested at all in taking in.

The only heads up Im going to advize is to NOT use milk replacer. Get this kid on whole cows milk if you dont have fresh goat.

OK for anybody who cares to listen or cares to throw stones because I deserve it.

All seemed fine when I put her in a box I filled with hay. The other little ones were too wild so I made sure she was snuggled in warm and fed and went to bed for a few hours.

Got up and the little one was unresponsive. She was alive but not well.

Long story short I got her to the vet and she as I type this is still alive but is hanging on.

They said her temp had dropped to 92.5 and she was dehydrated. They put a line in and have her temp back up but she is still touch and go.

I should have brought her in....I thought it was warm enough. I should have just held her all night to ensure she was OK.

I should have got up earlier.

I am so ----ed at myself.

I wish I could turn the clock back I feel as bad and guilty as hell.

Just got the call....she passed a little bit ago.
50 yr old guys shouldn't cry but they do.

when we had orphans boar babies we mixed up
1 gal whole milk
1 can evaporated milk
and 1 cup whole milk buttermilk
we had no problems with runs or anything they did real well fed them 3 times a day an 8 oz baby bottle we kept them in a playpen in the house if it was cold outside done this with sheep and goats
