Thought you might want to know

You all know I have been trying to sell my goats for a while now. Well, I got in touch with an organization called Vermont Agribility who helps people who are disabled and want to get into or continue to be in agriculture. They are going to help me sell(actually already have, by getting an ad up) and help me with funding to be able to create a small business with goat milk. Probably something like artisan cheese or lotions. I have already received inquiries about my goats. She may even be able to help with some household stuff like propane.

I tell you this because maybe there are some others out there who could also use this type of help and don't know how to do it. I am sure most states have this type of help out there. I am so grateful that God has blessed me with this opportunity that I want to see others be able to get help if they need it.

One perspective goat buyer has a husband that works at IBM and he is possibly going to build me a computer for NOTHING!!! I couldn't believe it. I don't deserve it, but am incredibly thankful.

Oh, and I think I have a pregnant goat!! I didn't do any fall breeding so this is just what the goat doctor ordered. I needed some of that baby cuteness overload. Don't know when shes due, looks like end of April or early May.

If you don't mind my asking, where in Vermont are you? Im up by Jay Peak, about 10 minutes from Canada. I say I am south of the Yukon and north of civilization.

Thanks everyone and yes, I am definitely keeping goats. I don't think I could get rid of all of them, they are such a big part of what keeps me going. I want to keep around 10 or 14, but the ag lady says I should only keep 6. I seriously don't think I can pick only 6, theyre like my "kids". :happy0035: I have 27 right now and 8 of those are bucks.

Well Lynn I say 10, it is a nice round even number but only one buck, eww to 8 stinky boys. Maybe 12, 11 does and one buck, lol you will get no help here on that. But 6 is not enough so tell the Ag lady you cannot stagger breeding with only 6

thaiblue- love the idea!! I think 20 or maybe 30.... must stop .... ok, I'm better now. I love the idea of the staggered breedings, whether or not its true. But it does make sense. I have to keep 2 bucks though. Partially because there are two that I really really love and adore and partly because they would be lonely. These particular two aren't quite as stinky as others.

Thanks for the responses and I really just wanted to put it out there so maybe it could help out someone else, I don't want to seem so narcissistic.
