Our Latest trouble-makers

This is our latest little trouble-maker. Between him, his broken-legged sister, and his mother that seems to want to stash her kids is strange places, I'm sure this is going to be a very interesting summer. Although they were only born a few days ago I have found them in our shipping cage, under the hen-house, in the spare dog-house twice, and in a nesting box that still had a hen setting in it! All that on top of her dropping them in a mudpuddle, during a gully-washer as they were being born... I sure hope she gets smarter with age! I put a fresh dressing (splint) on the doeling today, and other than showing a little weakness in the leg she is standing and walking just fine... will maintain the splint for another few days, maybe another week, depending on the way she moves.

They are 3/4 Boer and 1/4 nubian... love those ticked ears.
