I have given warm water with a smidge of molasses...

Sabrina really enjoyed warm water with raw honey, a pinch of baking soda and an itty bitty splash of vanilla extract (real, not imitation).

I don't think they HAVE to have these things, but my girls sure appreciated it, and I like spoil them

Warm Water, Molasses, and I put half a quart bottle of CMPK drench in it for NDs and Minis, and a whole bottle for standard size girls.

It's Gatorade for goats.

I have even put just brown sugar in a bowl of warm water or I suppose you could use maple syrup or pancake syrup too. Some of my does will drink it down and some will not.

2 gallons very warm water, 1/4 cup molasses.
I give my milkers a pail of plain warm water after each milking.

I give them each warm water and mollasses but Grandma Daisy goat won't drink it (she is a Great-Grandma now!) but each of her daughters and granddaughters gulps it down like it's the best stuff in the world.

It may be because Grandma Daisy always kids by herself and has her kids cleaned up and nursing before I find them! The others I'm usually with when they kid and give them the warm water immediately aftewards!

Ours weren't impressed with molasses, so we use Karo (corn) syrup in warm water.

I make up a homemade Electrolyte water for each doe after she kids, they Love it & it gives them a little boost of energy too.

It's 1 liter of warm water
2 Tablespoons of Honey or sugar
1/4 teaspoonful of baking soda
1/4 teaspoonful of salt

Mine won't drink water with molasses in it, I tryed it one year & no one liked it. They really like the electrolyte water I make up though.

Mine get warm water with a spoonful of Blackstrap molasses. It is especially rich in Calcium and Iron, plus a multitude of other good things. I also put a pinch of redmond salt in it. They are wild about the stuff. I also went out and gathered raspberry leaves for them and some yarrow green. Women's herbs.
