Question pretty sure penny is in labor, question?

I think Penny is in labor, has a bent tail, no ligs that I can find, not interested in food, talking. No goo yet. But she keeps laying down right next to the wall or in the corner. Is this a sign of something? I am having trouble seeing her back side. Should I push and prod her to make her move? Some times she sits up like a lazy dog (kind of on the side of her butt, you know) and tucks her chin downward. Some time she stretches out her leg. And some times she nuzzles her teats. Is this a self nursing thing, or should I not worry about it right now.

I'll check back in a little while. I'm going to see if my wireless reaches down to the barn.

What that means, in goat language, is :

"Dang am I *uncomfortable*!"

She will stay that way, up and down, nuzzling her own teats (they are getting fuller and are *uncomfortable* ), laying down in odd places, etc., until she gets busy with the pushing...which shouldn't be long now.

Good luck! Wishes of doelings upon you!

Yep, sounds like she's in labour! Just keep an eye on her - it will be quite obvious when she starts pushing. If she has her butt to the wall when she starts pushing hard, you might want to move her back end around - hard to push out babies through the wall.

Well we are definitely in labor! I have progress pics but don't have time to figure out how to up load on my new laptop ! My poor baby! She scraped her enormous udder with her back hoof during the last contraction! I'm going to neosporin it and put a bandage on it, but I'm not sure it will stick.

Rosie scared me thinking she was chewing her teats, then I realized she was removing the waxy plugs so the milk could flow :-) And she popped Valentino against the wall (goofball!) She knew what she was doing and sounds like your girl does too :-) Have fun! And here's hoping for doelings!
