How not to start a kidding run

4:30 we have action, got fluid coming out, not ideal but ok. 4:35 we have a large firm bubble so I pop it, two feet no nose, so I re arrange things, this kid is huge, I would have expected a full Saanen kid to be that big. His navel breaks off on the inside.
Well the doe still has a great deal of amniotic fluid coming out of her so after 30 min or so I try and bounce her, not one of my stronger talents but manage to find the placenta still refusing to come out.

So DH went to the vets to go get some meds. All this she better have a friggin doe in her and it better be still alive.

Thank Goodness everything worked out! Just like those buggers to give us a scare like that!

We should have each others phone numbers, we could have talked to each other from our barns. I was up at 4:30 a.m. too, well all night reall with our new babies but thought sure the next one would delivery by now too, Nope the fat little piggy is out walking around with the other girls that don't have their babies yet!
