Moments that make us smile

DW out in the pasture with her schedule 40 shepherd's staff and java bomb making sure Brie and Mardi don't harass Bamboo. I sure love her! (DW)

My DH loves me so much, he is blinded by it. That is why he thinks a picture on me, sipping on my FIRST cup of coffee (getting to have coffee comes after feeding, milking, bottles, etc.), in my barn clothes with nothing more done but my hair yanked back in a ponytail, is "beautiful".

~grinz~ Ya'll have heard the saying "Love is blind"? He proves it right there! LOL

But, I sure do love him, just because he thinks so.

~laughs~ You could SAY we are an "item", I guess....if you consider me having him all chained up in the bonds of matrimony and "item" ~grinz~

Kim, you have a pair of jeans that are falling apart, ripped to shreds, have holes in them, that you wear for barn chores...and they are stone washed too? Do you realize how much that dates us? The last time stone-washed jeans were in style was in the 80's. LOL

What's worse, I *stole* those jeans from DH. LOL

R&W, after coffee, I look AWAKE.

Seriously, though, that is an EXCELLENT picture of me. From that angle, you can't tell I have that turkey-waddle-neck-thing going on, and the way the morning light is, the white streak down one side of my hair just looks like reflected light.

Minelson, Mardi, on the left, was doing alright...however Brie, on the right in the pic, was only PRETENDING to graze, like she had been,,,

"I'm just here grazing...grazing...grazing closer to the new doeling....closer...no, I am not after that new doeling so just ignore the fact my hackles are standing STRAIGHT up... I am a good, calm girl, really...I am just grazing peacefully...closer...closer..."

Until she gets close enough to ram Bamboo straight into my knee.

I told DH that he needs to make me a REAL shepherd's staff....instead of the Sch. 40 PVC kind. Maybe of bamboo, since we have plenty of it. I don't hit anyone with it, I just use it to get between goats who are thinking of become...ummm...rambunctious at each other.

What a great picture!

Umm yea, I have barn jeans identical to those.....though mine also have a fairly recent (I hope), but unknown to me, 3" rip right under the left side of my bottom.....As a lady in Tractor Supply so politely informed me when I had made a fast run to pick up some supplies...

I do not rip my knees or my butt, my rips are inside things / near my crotch from going over fences. This includes my favorite pair of pajamas

Hopefully LoneStar you were not going "commando" that day

I will not "date" or age myself by talking about jeans, I have never heard of stone washed jeans, what are they?? lol

I have been back and forth today, and the does are getting along much better with Bamboo as the day goes on, of course. Mardi Gras is contemplating adopting her as her own kid... since I have taken away her kids for bottle feeding. (Which they have FINALLY all figured out)

They keep getting funnier.....now Brie is trying to steal Bamboo's bottle.

Oh, and at least I knew about my rip....it happened this morning when I was bending down to get the lid of the Bag Balm that I dropped while milking. The jeans had enough life in them to give a soft --rrrriiiiiiiiipppp-- sound, else I wouldn't have known it either. Luckily, I was not going to town today. LOL

Mine are the really comfy stretch demin jeans that got snagged and the teeny rip grew and grew. Hmmm stone-washed jeans..... yeah I think I remember those!
