Bushes are budding, birds singing, bees flying

And guess where my goats are at? They broke into the hay barn when I turned them out to graze. My grass is tall, the brush is budding with leaves and their favorite honeysuckle is going untouched because the hay is better to them. And no, its not fancy hay just plain burmuda mixed with rye, the same crap thats in the pasture with them

Maybe all that green was just too overwhelming. I left the gate open while I was trying to herd a lost chicken out. Turned my back for only a moment and our 4 goats headed straight for the azalea bush! They got about 15 seconds in on that bush, in contrast, I got the next 24 hours of worrying and fret.

They were fine. I've begun to let ours loose (supervised) into the safe pasture so they get accustomed to being away from the security of their usual yard. They just stand there wondering what to do.

I'm dreaming of weather like that here! I sure wish it'd hurry up, 1st day of spring yesterday & it was 30degree's & snowing, blowing & darn cold!
But you can rub it in, at least you have some nice weather!

Katie, you just need to snowbird it. In fall, bring yourself, DH and goats to my place... it stays 70 here until after X-mas, and warms BACK up to 70 just after Valentine's.
