copper capsule vs bolus?

I have a copper deficient doe who has been having issues for a long time (I've posted about her here before) and we are just now figuring out that she most likely has a copper deficiency (no thanks to the vet...who unfortunately is the only large animal vet in the area). However, my vet does not carry copper boluses or supplements so can't really help me there, and the only place I can find to order them online has a minimum of 12 cattle sized doses...which is WAY more than I need. I am trying to find someone who might be able to sell me just one dose of copasure for my doe... but I was also wondering if it would be possible to give her copper supplement capsules for humans (in the right dosage, and with no extra additives) instead of using the bolus? I know that these are not sustained release so it wouldn't be just a one-time dose like the bolus that would last for months, but I'm trying to find something that is available locally so that I can treat her ASAP.

The copper rods in the coppasure is a slow time released method & best for the goats. I'm not sure if I would give my goats people copper without research.

Cannon Farms makes up the Boluses & sell's them to folks here, I'm not sure but their may be someone else that does as well.

I just found the email address for cannon farms. I would email her instead of sending a PM as I guess her box here is full right now.

Backfourty, last year I ordered some copper boluses from "Whitney Dunahee" out of Indiana. Was given her name off one of the goat forums I visit. She sent me note with them as to how to administer and it stated "one 00 bolus is for ever 33 lbs" of an adult goat.

I am reading here in this forum that Cannon Farms out of this forum creates size 00 boluses that treat every 50 lbs of adult goat. I just ordered some from her using the e-mail "kabukienot" and sending my personal check via snail-mail. I'm hoping to hear from her soon.
