Our New Bottle Baby Girls

So, we purchased two beautiful soon to be registered LaMacha Doelings to add to our herd. They were purchased from a good dairy (CAE free) breeder, so I at least did my homework. They are still on the bottle and will be for another two months, so I have my two legged girls to take care of and now my 4 legged girls to take care of. They are settling in nice and we will turn them out with the herd in a couple of days (the vet is coming for vaccinations and worming Monday). The only thing I hate is the pitiful cries I hear every time I leave the "nursery". We don't have names for them as I have to pick up their papers later this week to send in. I grew up with a LaMacha and atlhough I have Saanens, LaMachas will always hold a special place in my heart.

Wow, they are so pretty! I especially love the color on the "brown/tan" girl. Maybe because mine are all so dark - but I think that sandy color is amazing!

Congratulations! You definitely have two beautiful girls there! The earless goats really are the best!

Yes - they are like little grasshoppers when I turn them out in the goat shed/paddock area. It's such a big stress reliever to watch them play in the sun.

They are both adorable! We too love to just set outside & watch the babies play in the sunshine & all the momma's milling around, it is so soothing & relaxing.

I do like Alice's name's too Godiva & Cadbury.
