Exclamation She did it!!!!

Sabrina has two, tiny, beautiful twin girls!!

And get this, I checked her, she was playing with Keys.....went to pick up the birthday cake and pay bills.....was gone 3 hours.....come back to two dried off, nursing does and one dead buck kid.....Bummer about the boy, but I have TWIN GIRLS!!

Now, I had planned on pulling at birth and bottle raising.....one may be going as a bottle baby, how do I do that now that I have an uber protective momma and they've already nursed?

If you can get a bottle with really warm milk in them today, they might be trainable. I'm doing that with the quintuplets. They rotate in with mom and get bottles, too.

Thanks Alice....will try that when I get back.....had to leave to get the kids from school.

It's hard to tell them apart...only difference is one is fuzzier, while the other is sleeker. They are tiny, tiny though....a smidge smaller than Tootsie's twins, but to be fair her twins were big...

Can not believe that brat did that to me!! I even had the neighbor check her an hour after I left!!

If you want them on the bottle, pull the kids and let them go hungry for about 4-6 hrs, then offer a bottle. Usually covering their eyes helps them take it well. I've had nothing but excellent luck pulling kids as old as a week. I just picked up my new herdsire last weekend, who was dam raised and 4 days old. He took to the bottle great.

Usually if they give you trouble, they were going to give you trouble eating to begin with, lol... Ya know, one of those kids that think you're trying to KILL them by forcing their head near the udder/nipple.

As for the dam, she'll be obsessive for a while - likely she'll just adopt whoever milks her as her baby. I am the baby of two mothers currently. They obsess over me and are constantly talking/licking me just like they would to their real kids. Makes it easier when they adopt you, for the first time milking. They want you to 'nurse'.

I have one that always runs over to kiss my ear. I've pulled both her sets of twins at birth.

That's my current favorite color. My star milker Brownie is that color and she is beautiful. 100% alpine but colored like an obie. <sniff> I only had a single buckling born in that color.

Sabrina has a hard spot on the front of her udder, no heat just a hard spot.....What do you think this could be?

When Tootsie kidded she was ful to bursting with milk.....Sabrina, not so much....the kids nurse her, and the teats are deflated and within a few minutes look full again.....I've watched the kids nurse 4 different times but it just seems like there should be more milk... Am I fretting over nothing?

Babies hop around, then nap and Sabrina ate grain, hay and alfalfa pellets, drank molasses water, got some b-complex.... I just worry because of that hard area on the front of her udder.......

My daughter is on cloud 9 right now loving on HER babies.....lol
