Unhappy More trouble! Please help.

My goat who is due in less than 12 days and had a large vaginal prolapse now has runny diarrea. I went out to tend to her grapefruit sized prolapse and it has gone back inside her!?!?!? She is not eating well or taking any hay and is as big as a house. Any ideas on what to do about the diarrea?

When was she wormed & with what wormer?
Does she have a temp.?

How long has it been since she's been eating anything? I would give her probios right away, you don't want her rumens to stop from not eating.
Also a shot of Vit. B Complex surely wouldn't hurt her either.

Usually diarrhea is from worms or change in feed in adult goats but sometimes a doe will get kinda clumpy poo right before kidding I've heard too.

She may be working up to Milk Fever, aka hypocalcemia. Do you have calcium drench?

hypocalcemia does nor cause diarrhea.
not eating and diarrhea in the last couple of days and she will get ketosis.
knowing her temp would be helpfull.

I have experience with prolapse!!
Regular table suger will decrease the swelling. She will probably prolapse again when she kids, so have it on hand...then you can call her sugar buns!!(sorry couldn't help myself!!=)

Also, for other creatures, canned pumpkin works wonders on diarrhea, and constipation...for a goatie, I am sure it's worth the try!!

Her prolapse receded and last night she quietly delivered. Unfortunately four of the five were doa. The last one I pulled put. The breathing one did not make it either. The doe is resting and seems okay.
I am disappointed...they were all doelings.

So sorry, that is very disappointing.

She needs to be wormed with an effective wormer if she hasn't already.
