update on Charity ...

Charity is now 11 days old. She runs & plays with the older kids (about month older) yet sleeps alone at night. She nurses her dam well and appears in very good condition. She is nibbling on the large cedar limb we put out for them.

I just now looked out to see the other 4 kids sound asleep "together" (It is rather cold today.) in the front yard while all dams graze out in the front pasture. I found Charity sound asleep next to her sire, Roman, in the sunshine. A few minutes later Charity's dam came and layed down next to her and is now chewing her cud. What a pleasure to see!
