Dumb question: What does this term mean?

What does "soaking wet buckling" mean? Other than the obvious, a wet baby goat?

I see references to a soaking wet buckling sale, and I have no idea what that means, and google does me no good.

most of us want to move extra bucklings out quickly (they can be milk hogs, if you bottle).. soaking wet is sort like " come get 'em really quick and I'll sell him to you cheaper!) LOL

susie, mo ozarks

So it means a brand new goat that the buyer would either have to bottle feed or foster on another animal?

Soaking wet before it dries after birth. VERY young. Yes. Come and get it before we have to pour a lot of milk down its gullet and fall in love with it!

Yep. Goats are born "wet". That's why they have to be dried off after birth. A "soaking wet buckling" is one that has just been born.

A "soaking wet buckling sale" means the seller is willing to let go of male goats kids really cheap if people will come buy them as soon after birth as possible.
