preg doe getting extremely lovey

My doe is due in 18 days (according to previous owner) Last night and all day today she has been extremely lovey. She kisses me everywhere, licks my hands and face, she tries cleaning my coat (specially my coat zipper with the piece of fabric tied to it) and is just all in all treating me like a goat baby! She did the same thing to my 12 year old... then she was doing it to the 3 doelings who now share the goat shelter/pen with her. She is on extremely motherly overload!!
Is this common for the last two weeks before kidding? or should i pay extra attention to ligaments in case shes due a little earlier than expected? She is the sweetest goat I have ever had and I just adore her! Whoever raised her sure spent a lot of time one on one with her. i just hope she takes to the millking stand as sweet as she takes to her head scratches.

It sure wouldn't hurt to start keeping an eye on those ligaments. She's getting ready. She may wait the extra 18 days, but then again, she may not. It's possible the previous owner mistook the breeding time.

HORMONES! WOO HOO! Yup, pay attention. My Mini-Mancha was six days early.

You have had her on the milk stand for practice, correct?

We did a little bit but we haven't the last week or so. It started snowing again so Hubby kicked the milking stand out of where I had it now it has snow on it. I think i should go dry it off and put her up there yet this afternoon. I just came in from giving the goat kids their bottles meanwhile Dizzy stood behind me and massaged my goat and gave it a good cleaning over lol. Its very hilarious how shes gotten all lovey on us! If only my husband gave me the same sort of attention ROFL
