Drying up doe

Hello everyone. I'm trying to dry up my doe. Do I need to use the meds at the store for cows, or can I just go to milking in the morning only until her milk lightens up more and start skipping a day til it ends.

She only gives 1 quart in the morning and about 1 pint in the evening.
