old goat milk

I have some frozen goat milk from last July and August. When I thaw it out (it is in 1 gal zip locks) the solids separate from the whey(?). I've tried shaking it real good, but it is still less than desirable to drink. I tried to make butter...one time it worked after about 4 hrs on the Kitchen-aid. Tried 2 more times, no luck.

Suggestions??

Can you make cheese from milk after it's been frozen? I though you couldn't.

Sure you can! I never have any trouble. It takes longer to make a curd, though.

Soft cheeses should be fine, chevre or vinegar cheese. I would not use it on a hard cheese.
