average gestation for minis

This will be my first year that I bred my mini LaManchas. when I got them last year they were already bred with no due date so I don't know what day they kidded on. I'm curious as to what day your minis kid (on average). My first one bred has a due date of Feb. 28th for day 145 but I'm guessing she'll wait till at least day 150 because I'm so excited. I'm wondering if they average somewhere in between a standard size goat and a ND. I know the answer is "all goats are different" but I'd still love to hear from mini owners to see if they usually go earlier than day 150.

Average gestation for goats is 150 days...or a time frame of between 145 days and 155 days. This holds true for all breeds of goats, small, medium, or large.

Average gestation for a human woman is 37 weeks. This holds true whether the woman stands 4'10" or 6'2".

Yes, but most all of my nigerian dwarfs kid on day 145. I've never had them go more than day 146. So, since a mini is is a cross between a standard and a Nigerian then I wondered if they'd be halfway in between.

Nope...just varies from goat to goat. My friend's Saanen ALWAYS kids on day 146.....but her Mini-Mancha sometimes waits until day 155, 23 hours, 56 minutes to kid.

I have Nigerian Dwarfs & they kid any where from day 146 usually to day 154. Just depends on the goat like Caliann said.

My miniature alpine (3rd generation) kidded with twin bucks on day 157. Wasn't a breeding date error as she was hand bred by the breeder, then removed from the bucks pen after breeding....

Darn. I was really hoping you all would tell me differently. I'm so ready for babies. I guess I'll have to wait and see. Maybe if I count on day 155 one of my 7 pregnant does (3 minis) will surprise me and go on day 145. They're all due within a week of each other - give or take.
