Blue eyed does - lower milk production?

Someone recently told me that blue eyed does produce less milk than brown eyed does. Has anyone had this experience?

I have only brown eyed does, but have my heart set on getting some blue eyed Nigerian goats.

I haven't seen that with my blue eyed girls at all. You don't milk color - so no matter what color of coat or eye color they have milking genetics will mean a whole lot more.

I recently heard that blue eyes were a sure sign of top quality Nigerians.
Eye color has nothing to do with milk production or overall quality.

I agree, eye color should not have anything to do with milk production. I do love my blue eyed goats but my brown eyed goats are pretty special too, to me anyways.

Depends on the individual and genetics for milk, not the eye color.

Do human mothers that have blue eyes give more milk than their hazel, brown eyed counterparts? Nope, it's all about genetics, not eye color..

That could have its basis in the fact that more people breed for eye color than for milking genetics. If you breed for good milking genetics, well it's gonna milk well, if you breed for blue eyes, well it's gonna have blue eyes, who knows how well it will milk though. One can breed for both but some people don't think that many steps ahead.
