Doe has bottle jaw and ketosis

Our goat Krissy has ketosis and bottle jaw. Called vet and friend. Vet said he didnt know why she fell over and acted like seizure but now she is fine. But did say with all the wetness we have had others are experiencing same problem. He said to get a different wormer than the ivermectin tommorrow. My friend immediately identified symptoms as ketosis and said to give it clear karo

Seems like the breeder I bought my goats from said Safeguard at 3X dose for the bottle jaw. I gave it & freaked out for about a day worried about the dosage - the bottle jaw went away & no problems from the Safeguard.

It's nearly impossible to overdose an animal on Safeguard

With ketosis doesn't she need more calcium instead of just the karo syrup? On the Toxemia Ketosis thread I think barngirl started it Alice in TX put a link up about ketosis from dairygoatinfo.com, you should definately read it. Lots of good info there.

Hope your doe pulls through this for you.

But she never stopped eating. Assuming the worm load created immbalance? So how would you treat. Getting the new wormer vet suggested today.
