Exclamation Need help quickly!!!!!!!

I have a pregnant doe. She passed the water bag yesterday morning and it is still hanging there. Do I need to go in help deliver the kids? Or should I just wait?

Please help

Tammy

Is she in labor? Is she pushing or just acting normal. Are you sure this was the water bag? Did you bouce or check her for babies?

She is just acting normal. No vets around here work on goats. I will try to upload pics. Stand by.

She may not be having contractions. Try putting warm wet cloths on the udder, bump it like a kid would and try to milk out some colostrum (save it for the kids, of course). Frequently that will stimulate pitocin and get the contractions going.

Could this be a false pregnancy?

I don't see any pics. Are you using photobucket? Have you gone in to see if she is dialated or see if you can feel a kid?

Do you know anyone at all with even a little goat experience that could help you out?
If not, I would first bounce her to see if I could feel anything. if you can, wash up really good, lube up and see if you can get in there. If her cervix is not open, you need a vet. Kind of sounding like a false pregnancy, but I am not a vet and I cannot check her out. Really thinking you need a professional if you have not gotten anywhere by now. Even if they do not normally treat goats, they can still help her.

I would go in for a feel, you will need HELP to hold the doe while you SCRUB your hands all the way to the elbows, then lube. Make a cone shape with your fingers so your hand is as small as possible and get in there. You are going to follow the stuff thats hanging out and find where it's coming from (her cervix). You will then try with a finger or two to see how wide open the cervix is. this wiggling about in there can also stimulate contractions. IF her cervix is wide open enough, continue thru it and have a feel around for babies!

To load a photo place your cursor on the image when you are in Photobucket.

Addresses will appear below.

Move your cursor on the bottom one that has IMG in the address. It should say "copied". If you not right click on the address and copy.

Paste that IMG image address into your post.

It will look like this when you post it (I intentionally left the last bracket off so you can see the link and not the pic).

once you post your reply, it will be a pic like this (which is probably how you are feeling about this doe right now)
