Cydectin Drench and Valbazen Drench.....

Cydectin Drench...........approved for sheep and not approved for milking animals. Goats OK too? Doseage? Withdrawal time for milk?

Valbazen Drench.........label again is for sheep, same dose fpr goats? Withdrawal time for milk?

Fenbendozole- Safe-Guard for horses. Horse paste--- 3 times the weight dose for horse. Ex: goat 100# give paste for a 300# horse? Milk withdrawal time.

I also have a reply on the Di-Methox 40% post.

I am updating my journal, last time was 4 years ago. New things and findings always happening. Just double checking my notes. Thank you in advance for your time, greatly appreciated........Joan

The Cydectin drench can not be used on a lactating animal, but the Cydectin pour-on for cattle can be used on lactating animals. I don't think there is a withdrawal.

I just noticed that on Hoegger's website, there is an all natural dewormer that looks tempting and has no withdrawal times. You might check it out.

If you're dealing with much of a worm load, herbal wormers will not help.

Also reading on Fiasco Farms website says that dosing with the herbal wormer mixes is only listed as safe and no withdrawal time because the FDA does not regulate it... THEREFORE, no real studies have been done. But, it is said that some of the herbs in the wormers should no be used on pregnant/lactating people - why would I give it to goats?

Also, my goats HATED Hoegger herbal wormer. Giving it 1x a week was TERRIBLE. I had to wrestle everybody, and they started to run from me all the time. It would likely be different if your goats would eat it. At the time I had like 13 goats, and not ONE would eat it. I ended up mixing it with molasses, and even then only ONE would eat it willingly. The rest I would try to squirt it down their throats with a syringe, and usually ended up wasting it or getting it all over them so they were sticky, gross looking messes.

If you do decide to go with any wormer, ALWAYS do fecals to make sure it's working.

THANK YOU to all who have taken your time to answer my questions. I have always used the Cydectin Cattle Pour on and Safeguard/Panacure. I am going to get some Valbzen Drench instead of Safeguard/Panacur. I am also going to get some Bio-Mycin to add to the medicine cabinet as I have always just had Pro-Pen G. AGAIN.........thanks for taking your time to quide me, GREATLY appreciated..............Joan
