Milk withholding times

So I didnt have the valbazen, and the herbal wormers I ordered havent come yet. I did not get 3 of them wormed last week the day of kidding. I gave Crystal who kidded 2 weeks ago, quest but I think she spit a lot out, and dont think she got even close to enough. SO I went ahead yesterday and used the ivermectin paste as I thought I should get it done as soon as I could. On Fisco site it sayd the milk withholding time is 36 days in the US and 14 days in the UK and her personal time is 4days. I have kids on 3 of them, so it is ok if I dont drink the milk for a while. But I am milking MUFFIN and she is giving me a good little bit for her little self just once a day. Trying to get her healed up, back end still draining and looks awful. But she loves to be milked! So I am just freezing it for now and marking the bags. But my husband is anxious to try her milk, as it seems it is much more white now so may be done with the colostrum.
2 of the other does each have one kid so I have started getting them on the milk stand as they seem full and just milking a little out and feeding to the cats, just to get them used to getting on it as they have never done this before.
Ok so my question is, how long would you wait to drink the milk with this wormer?
Thanks

Technically, according to the Ivomec rep at a farm show, Ivomec has not been tested for withdrawal times in goats. The times posted are for other animals. They have no plans for testing, as it would cost the company MILLIONS, and it's already being used off label.

That said......

Different people use their own withdrawal times on Ivomec. Some don't dump the milk at all. Some wait three days or seven days.

It's up to you.

These might help.
The idea that the with holding times for a dairy cow and a dairy goat would be that different seems illogical. They are both ruminants and have similar systems.

I don't have this book, but the excerpt shown on the Amazon page shows some of the discussion of the differences in goat metabolism, which is notoriously different from cattle. This is why we administer many drugs orally in goats instead of pour on or injection.

I spend too much time on Facebook. I was looking for the "like" button for your post.

thanks steff and alice, the mfa store called last night and they got in the valbazen. So I am going this morning to pick it up and will give to the next 4 when they kid, the other 4 already got the ivermectin. Now to figure out how much to give the little pygmy and the little pygmy/nig cross. Will continue to study how long to wait to drink milk with the other. Still waiting on my herbals to come, probably need to contact them to find out
