My FF Mini-Alpine

My FF Mini-Alpine whose buckling was stolen by an older, more experienced doe is increasing production with each milking. She kidded a week ago today, and today's overall production was 3.35 lbs. She's going to make half a gallon without a problem, I think.

That's really good for a week into milk. She could very well peak at 6 lbs. in a couple months. Let us know how she is doing then!

This is the first time I've kept records from the beginning of a lactation. Exciting!

That is Great Alice! You still have a couple more to kid don't you? You'll have all kinds of milk it sounds like.

She's the first. There are five more. Two in March, three in May. I like spacing them out.

That's fantastic, Alice. And what a great back story.
