My girls have "cabin fever"

Now that the weather is nice, my "latch lifter", Snow, is watching the gate to make sure we don't put the second lock on it. Even when I am in the pen with them, if we don't have the second lock on that latch, she is out the gate in no time.

Yesterday, the vet came to draw blood for our first annual CAE tests. We set the stanchion next to the pen & the girls all lined up inside the gate & took their turn (amazing when the herd queen does something how all the others want to participate). Snow was the third girl we drew on. We put her back & took out #4. As we were finishing #4, Snow walked by us toward the buck pen. We put Snow back, took out #5. Again, Snow got out. Put them back, she lifted the latch. Finally, my son stood there & held the gate shut while we finished drawing blood.

She is a naughty, bad goat - but still so sweet!

Mine all are anxious about getting around & about more too. Today they were wandering as far as they could until they ran into a pile of snow then they'd turn around. Big sissy's won't walk in too much snow around here so we snowblow & plow for them!
I'll be so glad myself when the snow is finally melted too!
