Enjoying some sunshine, and warmer temps today

I wasnt sure if i could post a video from photobucket or not, so here is a try, today it is above 32 degrees finally, so we brought all the moms/babes outside in the outside pens under the lean to. But what I thought was funny is the potbelly pig Lilly and all the boys were sunbathing, kittens were playing, (i didnt catch that on the video) and the geese are grooming themselves. Trinity (dog) hadnt finished her food yet, and was guarding it from Neo(other dog) it sounded worse than it was. Poor Blizzard(Blizzie) wasnt sure what to think. Just in case you cant see the video here are some pictures too.

PB...I noticed the pig in the video. Is that your only pig? Does it do well with the goats? Does it cost a lot to feed it? I want to get my son a potbelly pig and I am trying to figure out if I should make a separate pen and get two or if I should just get one and throw it in with the goats. Any advice and information on keeping a pig would be appreciated.

had the pot belly pig for about 8 years now, one of those things that was so cute, i came home with. She doesnt like anyone but me. If i had to do it over again I would spend way more time with her. She is pretty grumpy, she used to just have chickens and cats to hang with. Then we didnt have chickens for a while, and now we goats last april, and we kept them seperate unless we are out there. Yes she does try to bite them, but those bucks have learned to put their horns where her mouth is, they get along now actually, and when she sleeps the goats stand on her. I saw a youtube video once of a goat jumping on a pig it was cute. I also read an article in about black hogs were more friendly than pot bellies, I dont know, I love her but this one you really cant love on her or play with her. We just feed her and let her play in the pasture (well we didnt used to cause she tears it up) but now we let her go out in an area with the boys. Really research it before you get one and ask others too, I wouldnt again probably. I am one of those people that had an onery dog, and it had to have surgery twice, because it got hurt starting a fight, it was a jack russell and she was on the high side of high strung, she was bad. But I didnt give up on her she chased chickens she disobeyed etc etc, she died last spring at 11 yrs old, so even if I get an animal and shouldnt have, I love them and give them a forever home, so that is why we still have the pig...lol

Thanks for the info. I am really scared of getting an animal I will regret (I also have a dog that is a complete charity case. I think he's inbred and he is a pain in my neck). Maybe I'll go over to the pig forum and see what they think.

I think that it must be a good life, being an animal on PB's farm.
