I use Free Webs. Used Tripod before that, but the became really user unfriendly. You can see my website in my sig.

We use JodoHost and are quite happy with them. They were recommended by a friend who is a professional corporate website developer. He uses them for his personal stuff.
Our website is very basic and I do the coding, such as it is, in Notepad. There isn't much there and that's my fault for not spending time on making it better. We mainly have it for the hay feeder and ham radio info. I chose to design it myself rather than use their excellent tools in case we would ever want to move it. The domain name is pnpfarms.com and they handled that for me as well.

At the moment our site is down for a re-do, but we use blue host and have no complaints about them. We bought our domain name and then pay for our web host, but I can't stand advertisements on my website. I also use like Microsoft FrontPage to design and then upload to blue host, plus I can have e-mail accounts on that same domain name.

I am looking for a web host too. We use it so rarely that it is foolish for us to use anything but a "free" one; thus, not many out there.

I use Blue Host. It's not free, but the customer service and help is by far the best.

I use Webs.com, on the whole I have been pretty happy with them. The link to my site is in my sig. I tried Tripod but it wasn't very user friendly. Weebly is free too and its okay but I found it more difficult to make it look unique. Webs.com,Weebly,and Tripod are all free although they do have pay for services as well.

Are you talking about a place where you get a "free" website, or simply a place to host your site?
I'm a web designer and use ixwebhosting.com. It's great if you are looking for cheap server space and good customer service, but it's not a "free webpage" type of service.
If you're looking for a place where you create a website from a template, the above suggestions are all good. Also consider using Google Pages.

You might ask your internet service provider. Originally we had ours hosted through them. Our internet provider was our phone company who also supplies our internet. With our service we were automatically given a certain allotment of space to use for our own website. You might want to ask your ISP and see if they have a place for you to upload a website to. The only reason we switched from ours is that they didn't allow a whole lot of space and being the graphics junkie that I am, quickly ran out of room. That's when we went to BlueHost and what I did there was I have a friend that has a BlueHost spot and he hosts other sites, mine and 4 others. It costs him $100 a year, but for the rest of us, he charges less. If you're interested, I could hook you up with him.

Is there anyway to know whether or not website hosts have harmful intentions?

google who you want to host with and read up on them. If there's something bad out there about them, you'll find it. Just do your research before you choose someone.

UK based server, cheaper than any of the US ones. Unless you have to use FrontPage, in which case it's just as much.

Whether you are looking for a hosting provider for personal web page, or a business page, remember that if you use a free hosting provider, you get what you pay for.
If you are planning on creating a web presence for a business, you definitely want a reliable provider with guarantees for up-time, etc.

Im not looking for free but not looking to pay hundreds of dollars either. I looked at go daddy, they seem cool but dont like any of their templates and not sure on how to make my own.
Next year should be my profit year, this year is paying back the ones I bought so I dont have a lot of money.
I need just four pages right now. Anyone know how to get different templates

I'm using Blue host now~ I'm happy with it~ I have one account but BlueHost user help base is good enough to teach me how to make it look like two different sites~ one I use for my business
http://www.thereddragonsden.com/
and one my husband uses basically as a family photo album

I second that. You don't have to know any HTML coding or anything like that. You can find all kinds of free graphics out on the web and you can even find whole sets to make a webpage out of on the net if you look. Also, FrontPage has templates, but honestly, I prefer to just start from scratch. All you have to do is "set your background" to a color or a picture or whatever you found on the net. You can look for free backgrounds out there. Then start typing away and adding pictures and graphics and all kinds of fun stuff. Then upload.

That is why I went with webs.com(used to be freewebs). They are not expensive and very easy to use. I know NOTHING about websites(except what I like to look at) and I do my own using webs.com. I have their cheapest package and its still bigger than I need.

I use Weebly for my photography site and it is free. . .
I much prefer weebly to .webs, personally
I don't pay for a domain name. . .
I use office live for my farm site, and it is free, and I pay $15 a year for my domain names. . .
I'd be happy to link you to both so you can see how they compare. . .I do web design and graphic design, too. .
just PM me
