UUUUGGGG!!! These goats are frustrating me!!
Ok so I feel like you guys know everything about my goats now, you are the only ones who understand...lol I hope I am not driving you all crazy, but today I decided that even though Muffin should be at 150 days today I was gonna let her and Zoe out of the kidding pen in the barn so they could go out in the sunshine and balmy 26 degrees today, so I notice now Cocoa (who I wasnt planning on breeding this year) has plug stuff coming out, well she has been getting bigger but didnt think she would be due until March as on around Oct 17-18 I saw both Chompy and Tito mate with her, only because they squeezed between me and the gate and got her before I could catch her. So today she looks so much lower her baby(ies) have been sticking out the side. Even my husband says oh my she is way lower get her in the pen! He felt her ligs and said GONE, then said maybe a little tiny bit let, being an emt I assume he knows better than me..lol So will they still be so insistant to mate one that is already pregnant? I mean they both went after her and no one else that day!
I am guessing that the day Tito got in with the girls he could have actually got all of them and they would all be due today! So after spending every hour going to ck on Muffin yesterday I guess I will be doing the same today, could thing I get to be here the next few days, I am afraid to make plans to ever leave! I will take some pics and you guys can see what you think....thanks for listening! (i mean reading)

Believe me, most of us understand your frustrations. Many of us have been in your exact same spot as newbies. (Some of us are still there. . . . . I was baby-watching a doe around Christmastime who finally kidded A MONTH LATER!)
Just hang in there, okay? And try not to pull all your hair out.

Last year, we had THREE oops breedings. One doe that I didn't even KNOW was bred, and therefore didn't try to dry off until WAY too late, milked out in the morning and gave birth in the afternoon.

This is her, from best I could get she almost doesnt look preg in this pic now.

Here is Muffin from behind and she is still out to side.
I also felt them both from the top of thier back on thier spine, and while muffin you almost cant find a spine, Cocoa definately has dropped.
Yeah just my luck she will have me watching her for a MONTH! She is still so little though.

Usually...best anyone can tell....how long after they drop? another freaking month...lol??? should I put her kidding pen now or just at night. Is it likely it will be today? I havent found how long after dropping, i read 12 or 24 hours after losing ligs but even that can be iffy, some say they can come and go for a month, dang this is crazy, so the 3 i have confined probaby will be last ...lol and crystal who gave birth wed pretty much no signs at all! and only made noise for about 5 minutes before dropping her

its funny cause they are actually pretty protective of the goats, we let new mama Crystal out with her 2 day old baby Blizzard and the geese did not like that baby being there, so they only get to be around each other for now while I am out there, mom and baby are still seperated from everyone right now

Everyone agreed Rosie looked ready over a week ago and we still have nothing! I'd say fat but I saw a baby face on ultrasound! She's waiting for bad weather, but we had ice a couple of days ago and she still wasn't happy!

yep, i am not sleeping much, as I have the monitor in my room ,and look at it every few hours, I am a light sleeper so if I hear anything I have to check it out. I know when I have to leave next week, thats when they will have them, i am sure of it, I dont think I will get to watch any of them be born! I was home everyday this week, and even then, I didnt get to see Blizzard be born, but at least I was here to clean her off and make sure everything was ok and get her out of the cold

The great thing about goats, (and every other critter lol), is that for all our "knowledge" about their health, birthing, etc., not one of them ever read the books!!! They just do what they want to!!!! have fun

Maybe get the neighbor to walk over a couple of times they are always home!
This evening or tomorrow would be good!

Sending you hugs! Wish that would help your nerves too! Those boys sure can cause us alot of trouble! It's so stressful when there aren't actual breeding dates, sure hope they go while your home!
