Nutrena feeds and minerals?

I bought this tonight for the goat i will be getting this weekend since it looks like she is copper deficient and pregnant wanted to be sure she has plenty but not get to much copper. I got the nutria wise goat feed it has 5 ppm min in it. Then i got Cattle grazers APC mineral its a lose mineral and has 1000 ppm. Is that to much or ok. Is this brand of mineral ok for goats?

Most likely you will still have to give her copper boluses.

I don't think Sweetlix is around here. I want to get some copper boluses. I will contact my friend who has goats to see if she has any and will help me give it to her.
So how much should i feed her? Ive tried to look up the amount to feed a pregnant pygmy goat but have yet to find any info. Sorry for all the qustions ive benn asking over the last few days. Im sure i will ask a few hundred more im just so happy that i finally am getting goats. :banana02:

If she has good quality hay & not real far along in her pregnancy you don't need to give her alot of grain yet. If you can get her some alfafa pellets & make sure she has those someplace where they stay out of the elements & she can get all she wants, that would be good. Also the mineral she should have access to free choice 24/7.

I use the Cargill "Right Now Onyx" Mineral, 1000ppm of copper is not going to be enough most likely. If you can get a loose cattle mineral that is dark gray in color rather than the red color that would be better but if they won't trade the one that you bought for another it will get you started.

Cannon Farms sells copper boluses already figured out for the weight of your goat. She has a thread started for info on boluses for this year.
