What a Surprise!
Went to the barn this am and one of the goat mommies surprised us with new twin babies! Really was not expecting to see any until NEXT Friday. I have a new pure black and a pure white pair of Niggie twins. The black one is a female and is now named Ebony. The white one is a male and is now named Ivory. So cute and look very healthy and seem to be nursing well.
So-I need to make sure I do all that I can for them. Last spring was a first year for me and I was really "dumber that a box of rocks" when it came to kid and mom care. Today I was planning on giving a shot of CD&T to all moms that are due the month of Feb. This mom, like I said, started a week early. All goats had CD&T in August with hoof trimming, Ivermec Plus and Copper Bolus. Now what should I do? I have been calling vets to get BoSe but alas, vets in 2 counties here do not do goats and one just told me that they cannot get BoSe anymore. Just wanted it in case of an emergency. I have been adding med items a little at a time as well as equipment for several species of animals so it all takes time as well as money. But--
For Goats I currently have:
Probios
Banamine
CD&T
Vit B Complex
BoSe (jsut ahd a vet call me and will sell to me-going to go get)
What else do I need in my animal care bag : help:
