Question warm house...cold barn...is it safe 4 baby to go back and forth

Hi all!

Our little guy is doing well with his feedings and on a nice schedule. I wanted to put him out with his mama today, then bring him back into the house tonight so we can do his "middle of the night" feedings inside. Is it ok for him to go from the warm house, to the cold barn and back? He'll have a heat lamp, and a jacket on in the barn, but it's still gonna be cooler than the room he's in in the house. Is the temp change ok for him??? (he's 4 days old today)

He should be fine as long as he's healthy and well fed.

I wouldn't use the heat lamp at all.
He will snuggle with Mom if he's cold.

We've been putting ours out during the day and in at night. I just watch them real close. If they act cold, I bring them in or if it's too cold for me.

I did it with a couple of babies but I do use a heat lamp while their adjusting to the difference. They're out 24/7 now and doing fine.

I don't bring mine in the house. We have a heat lamp in the barn and stalls for Mommas to keep their little ones in to keep them warm.

Is he going in the stall with the momma or just by himself?
