Kidding Question

Now I maybe overly anxious about this whole situation and I maybe driving you guys completely nuts already, but in doing my afternoon check on the pygmys I noticed that their 'enter descriptive of external anatomy part here' are slightly opened. I know they were not like that yesterday evening when I checked on them.

Hey Dustin,

I saw the same thing on our Alpine doe yesterday morning and she wasn't like that the night before.

she wasn't dripping fluid or giving other signs, but her vulva area was opened some in the morning and a few hours later we had twins.

maybe you will have your babies soon,

am very excited for you, goat babies are soooo sweet!
even if we don't know much about goat birthing, it's natural for them and ours act like it's no big deal, so try not to worry too much and enjoy.

my best advice?

don't forget the camera!

Ellie Mae

Thanks Ellie! Every little noise I hear outside makes me look out the window. Think this whole kidding process has brought my 2 month old buck into his own...seems he is being a bigger boy...LOL

Hang in there, maybe it won't be much longer. Remember most of the time things go really smoothly so keep calm & try & get some rest cause when those babies come you'll be so excited you'll want to be playing with them rather than anything else!
